Oh I love both versions equally, for the different kinds of Wonka they depict! Gene Wilder was a brilliant, fun and childish Wonka. Johnny Depp was a kind of creepy and malicious Wonka. And also, Johnny Depp XP (Why yes, I do love my shallowness of spirit!)
Ahahaha! This reminds me of a time when saw that movie with a friend, the cinema had a HUGE poster with Wonka on it. My crazy friend, being the Depp obsessed person she is, ran up to it an licked it.
It looks great, I see nothing wrong with the details. I like the sketchyness to the lineart.
I'm not sure I would even know the dodgy details if you pointed them out to me. Being from memory, it seems incredibly detailed to me. (Depp!Wonky is absolutely corruptible. Depp!Anyone is corruptible.) The only thing that seems a bit off is the brim of the hat, but I can't tell if it's the fall of the shadow, but I guess the upturn could be a John Bull top hat? (Sorry, I am viewing this at work on a rather cheesy CRT monitor.) But the coloring, the shading, the texture on the tongue!, the glisten on the lips, and the saliva...the W on the collar...the way his eye is observing you, almost as if to say, "Beg your pardon, but, what?"
Depp, you disgustingly sexy Wonka creature... Well, if the candyman thinks it should taste good, I concur. Make the world taste good, Wonkadepp! Wonderful job It looks so obscene and sexy and... Aah, I want to do something illegal now. XD Yummy!!
